Wylie ISD invites families to its annual Kindergarten Roundup on Thursday, April 10, from 4–6 p.m. at each elementary campus

Wylie ISD is excited to announce two key leadership transitions for the upcoming school year. Stephanie Nishiyama as assistant principal at Kreymer Elementary, and Amber Boley as assistant principal at Akin Elementary.

The annual Wylie ISD Supply Drive begins Feb. 10. Donations collected during this event will benefit both our Back-to-School Fair in August 2025 and provide ongoing support for student needs throughout the year.

Wylie ISD is pleased to announce Vanessa Hudgins as the first-ever principal of Kreymer Elementary, set to open in August 2025. Along with this leadership appointment, the district is excited to unveil the school’s official mascot – the Kreymer Kangaroo. The school’s colors will be blue, yellow and teal.

Wylie ISD has received a preliminary A from the Texas Education Agency on School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) for the 2023-2024 school year. School FIRST reports public school district financial accountability ratings.Since TEA began rating the financial management of districts over 20 years ago, during the 2002-03 school year, Wylie ISD has achieved an A every year -- the highest rating possible!

Wylie ISD’s Visual Arts Department has been named a “District of Distinction” by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA). Only the top 5.5 percent of districts in the state earned the honor this year.
