Counseling

Mrs. Debbie Nohrenberg

Hello Kreymer Kangaroos!

I love being part of the Kangaroo family! I began working as an educator in 1996 and have worked as an elementary teacher and counselor. As a counselor I work alongside teachers and parents to help students develop socially and emotionally, and to help remove any barriers they have to learning. I am married to John Nohrenberg, and we have four wonderful daughters Meg, Sarah, Anna, and Leah. I love spending time with my family, watching football, and traveling.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Texas and a Master's in School Counseling from Texas Tech University. I am passionate about helping children grow emotionally and socially as they progress through school and beyond. I value the teamwork between home and school.

Part of my role as counselor is to deliver classroom lessons, meet with students individually and work with small groups. I am here to answer questions or discuss any concerns regarding your child’s development or well-being, so please contact me anytime should the need arise. I am also the 504 coordinator and MENTOR program liaison for our campus. I look forward to partnering with you this year!

Let’s make this school year the very BEST!
